With the school affiliated to the CBSE, it became mandatory for us to follow the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) and Remodeled Assessment structure. CCE helps in improving students’ performance by identifying his/her learning difficulties and abilities at regular time intervals right from the beginning of the academic session. A step in this direction was the introduction of Cyclic Tests conducted on every Monday to help teachers understand the students and develop corrective and remedial measures. Every afternoon the school provides for remedial teaching where in children who lag in certain subjects will be provided extra attention. The school offers English as the first language, Kannada as the second language and Hindi as third language, Mathematics, Environmental Science for classes I- V. For classes VI- VIII English is the first language, Kannada as the Second language andHindi as the third Language. Math’s, Science and Social Science form a part of the course of study.
The IX Std has English as the first language, Hindi or Kannada as the second language, Mathematics, Science and Social Science are the compulsory subjects offered. The teaching faculty, drawn from across the country provides the much needed impetus for achieving goals set out frequently. The subject averages in all classes have shown a gradual upward trend in the Formative and Summative Assessments which are not only pen and paper but include assessment of Values systems performance in Art, Music , Sports, behavior, co-curricular and active participation in school activities in general. The students have coped up with the new system & a marked overall change is visible for all to see.
